Abstract

We have observed that gelatin as feed supplement protected against ethanol-induced mucosal damages in rats. Intraperitoneally given peptides PG and PGP had similar effects. The increase of mucosal integrity may be connected with the change of microcirculation: the peroral administration of PGP or gelatin given as a feed supplement decreased platelet aggregation.
