Abstract

Modern views on etiology and pathogenesis of gastric ulcer disease (GUD) in the aspect of optimization of her surgical treatment method were summarized. Principal theses of surgical doctrine concerning tactic of treatment of GUD and factors, permitting to individualize the operative intervention, are presented. Original procedures, elaborated in the clinic, are presented side by side with conventional and proved themselves diagnostic methods. Introduction of the proposed curative-diagnostic complex would permit to improve the results of planned and urgent operations in GUD.
