Abstract

Determinations of calcium and inorganic phosphorus were made on the blood of a large series of rabbits as they were received from the dealer for the purpose of determining whether results obtained under these conditions differed from those obtained by repeated observations on animals living in the laboratory. It was found that the results differed in the two cases, due largely to a decided difference in the inorganic phosphorus content of the blood; but the values for calcium were also affected.
