Abstract

Early diagnosis of malignant disease in the genitourinary system means a better opportunity for cure. The family physician must be aware of the signs and symptoms of GU tumors in all stages, and the investigations required to establish a diagnosis. In this article the symptomatology, investigative procedures and available treatment options are presented. Carcinoma of the scrotum and penis are not included because they are relatively uncomplicated diagnostic problems.
