Abstract

Autophagy is a lysosomal degradation pathway of cellular components that regulates macrophage properties. Macrophages are critically involved in tumor growth, metastasis, angiogenesis and immune suppression. Here, we investigated whether macrophage autophagy may protect against hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
