INTRODUCTION By now, most readers are aware of the staggering statistics regarding medical education debt in the United States. The Association of American Medical College reports that the average education debt for medical school graduates in 2018 was $196,520, with up to 16% of all graduates owing greater than $300,000 after completing school [1].
