Abstract

Medical control is essentially divided into three phases: prospective, immediate and retrospective. Adequate medical supervision of any paramedic system is necessary to guarantee quality of medical care. Anything short of physician control of prehospital medical care would be to abdicate our responsibilities to our patients.
