Abstract

In an increasingly litigious society, nurses and other health professionals may be called to testify--in depositions, administrative hearings, or at trial--about facts at issue in litigation. This article discusses strategies that will help them to prepare for and provide testimony. Suggestions focus on behaviors that reduce uncertainty and bolster the witness' confidence in the face of an intimidating challenge.
