The COMPASS Collaboration at CERN has measured diffractive dissociation of 190  GeV/c pions into the π(-)π(-)π(+) final state using a stationary hydrogen target. A partial-wave analysis (PWA) was performed in bins of 3π mass and four-momentum transfer using the...

When exposed to a potential exceeding 1.5 V versus RHE for several minutes the molecular iridium bishydroxide complex bearing a pentamethylcyclopentadienyl and a N-dimethylimidazolin-2-ylidene ligand spontaneously adsorbs onto the surface of glassy carbon and gold electrodes. Simultaneously with the...

The synthesis of the reactive PN(C(H) ) ligand 2-di(tert-butylphosphanomethyl)-6-phenylpyridine (1(H) ) and its versatile coordination to a Rh(I) center is described. Facile C-H activation occurs in the presence of a (internal) base, thus resulting in the new cyclometalated complex...

Chem Commun (Camb). 2003 Oct 07;(19):2474-5. doi: 10.1039/b306683e.

A novel supramolecular strategy to prepare bidentate ligands via the assembly of functionalised monomeric ligands on a dimeric zinc(II) porphyrin template is presented; the assembled bidentate ligands show chelating behaviour and their rhodium complexes display enhanced selectivity in the...

Just mixing of solutions of tetracationic diphosphine ligands and tetraanionic calix[4]arene building blocks leads to the formation of supramolecular heterocapsules that coordinate a palladium metal within the cavity of the assembly, giving rise to a new class of potential...

Ligand variation, kinetic investigations, and computational studies have been used to elucidate the mechanism of rhodium-catalyzed diazoalkane polymerization. Variations in the "N,O" donor part of the catalyst precursors (diene)Rh(I)(N,O) result in different activities but virtually identical molecular weights, indicating...

The efficient reversible functionalization of silica with catalytic sites using noncovalent interactions is described. We prepared silica materials with well-defined binding sites that selectively bind guest molecules that are equipped with the complementary binding motif, with the interaction between...

Selective metal-ligand interactions have been used to prepare supramolecular bidentate ligands by mixing monodentate ligands with a suitable template. For these assemblies pyridine phosphorus ligands and a zinc(II) porphyrin dimer were used. In the rhodium-catalysed hydroformylation of 1-octene and...
