ACS medicinal chemistry letters

Tong Y, Torrent M, Florjancic AS, Bromberg KD, Buchanan FG, Ferguson DC, Johnson EF, Lasko LM, Maag D, Merta PJ, Olson AM, Osterling DJ, Soni N, Shoemaker AR, Penning TD.
PMID: 25589931
ACS Med Chem Lett. 2014 Aug 06;6(1):58-62. doi: 10.1021/ml5002745. eCollection 2015 Jan 08.

Aided by molecular modeling, compounds with a pyrimidine-based tricyclic scaffold were designed and confirmed to inhibit Wee1 kinase. Structure-activity studies identified key pharmacophores at the aminoaryl and halo-benzene regions responsible for binding affinity with sub-nM K i values. The...

Using a target of PbF2, the thick-target yield from the (19)F(α,n) reaction was measured from E(α)=3.5-10 MeV. From these results, we infer the thick-target neutron yields from targets of F2 and UF6 over this same alpha-particle energy range.

Thresholds for an antiphasic 500-Hz sinusoid (Sπ) were measured in the presence of a notched-noise masker for three different interaural masker correlations: -1 (Nπ), 1 (N0), and 0.87. The difference between thresholds for the three masker correlations was largest...

The detection of electron antineutrinos produced by natural radioactivity in the Earth could yield important geophysical information. The Kamioka liquid scintillator antineutrino detector (KamLAND) has the sensitivity to detect electron antineutrinos produced by the decay of 238U and 232Th...
