Abstract

The 300th anniversary of the birthday of Johann Juncker gives the occasion to think of the Collegium clinicum Halense founded by him and at the same time of Juncker's versatile activities for furthering an education connected with practice. Juncker's reform of study forms the initial point for the transformation of the clinical and policlinical forms of education in favour of an increasing orientation to practice which in many place was done only at the end of the century.
