Abstract

Magnetic resonance utilizes the magnetic properties of atoms within the tissues of the body to produce images. This paper is intended to provide the reader with the most basic information concerning magnetic resonance. The principles, fundamental parameters, equipment, and site planning considerations are presented to familiarize the radiologic technologist with this new imaging modality.
