PMID: 26314612
Dalton Trans. 2015 Oct 07;44(37):16458-64. doi: 10.1039/c5dt02377g.

An isopolyoxomolybdate-based POM is coordinated to trivalent cerium ions to afford a hybrid complex namely, [Ce(dmso)8][Ce(η2-NO3)2(dmso)4(α-Mo8O26)0.5][Mo6O19]. The original electrostatic environment created around the Ce(III) by its coordination to the isopolyoxomolybdate core induces complex single-molecule magnet behavior.

Chem Commun (Camb). 2017 Jun 13;53(48):6496-6499. doi: 10.1039/c7cc02113e.

Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) have been recently proposed as promising electrocatalysts, yet the exact nature of the mechanisms in play has not been addressed in depth. By comparing the electrocatalytic activity of a MOF for the oxygen reduction reaction...

Herein, we provide some structural evidence of the complexation color-change of murexide solutions in presence of lanthanide, which has been used for decades in complexometric studies. For Ln = Sm to Lu and Y, the compounds crystallize as monomeric...

A Dy(III)-based single-molecule magnet is reported. Ab initio calculations highlight that molecular symmetry plays a predominant role over site symmetry in determining the shape and orientation of Dy(III) magnetic anisotropy. Moreover the dipolar component of the electrostatic potential created...

Warm-hearted businessmen, competitive housewives? Effects of gender-fair language on adolescents' perceptions of occupations.

Russians experience higher adult mortality than Central Asians despite higher socioeconomic status. This study exploits Kazakhstan's relatively heterogeneous population and geographic diversity to study ethnic differences in cause-specific mortality. In multivariate regression, all-cause mortality rates for Russian men is...
